Mission Statement
Kearny Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Mission Statement
The mission of Kearny’s Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps is to prepare cadets for success while also teaching them how to become better citizens.
In this program, the cadets will build their self-confidence, create a strong work ethic, and a sense of responsibility, become leaders, and work on their teamwork skills. The AJROTC community promotes academic excellence, a safe working and friendly environment, and preparing for further education and/or future career paths. Some goals that we have set for this school year are to establish a Cadet Mentorship program, create and keep a safe online learning environment, career planning, and an exciting learning experience.
The Cadet Mentorship program is a system where higher LET level cadets mentor the lower LET level cadets (LET level depends on the number of years the cadet has been in AJROTC). It can be in terms of marching, AJROTC subject material, and much more. With this being said, we have an interesting year ahead of us. Difficult, though it may be, we will strive for success through these trials and tribulations. Kearny Komets know no limits!
